_New blog posts every week with the latest information on SkyFall.
Filming in Charring Cross Most of the filming this week happened in Pinewood Studios. However the crew are finishing off a scene they set up a few weeks ago at Charring Cross Station. It is understood that this scene is where Daniel Craig will be exiting the station to the streets while chasing the main villain portrayed by Javier Bardem. Bond starts the New Year with a bang! Quite literally in fact. After Craig and Dench were spotted with the crew in London last week, Land Rovers were being prepared to be blown up for the next few scenes. It is understood that this scene will be taking place in Greenwich, London. A total of 8 vehicles are going to be demolished during the filming later on today. A sneaky shot of one of the Land Rovers can be seen in the gallery below. Earlier last year, the team were purchasing lots of VW Beetles which are going to be blown up too. Thomas Newman signs on as composer David Arnold who has composed the soundtrack for five James Bond films (Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace), but now he is unable to work on SkyFall because he is currently the Music Director of the London Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies. Instead, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced that new composer Thomas Newman will score 2012's SkyFall. “We are delighted to confirm that Thomas Newman will score SKYFALL. Thomas is one of the most respected and successful composers, he has a long history of working with Sam Mendes and we look forward to welcoming him into the Bond family,” said Michael Wilson. Sam Mendes and Newman have worked together on previous films. Newman said “I’m incredibly excited to be working with Sam again. It’s a real thrill to be able to collaborate on something as special as a Bond movie.” Canary Warf - Behind the scenes After filming began in Canary Warf in December, a few sneaky snap-shots of Daniel Craig and the film crew leaked over the internet. Today, we have the first official photograph of this scene Gallery |
