SAM SMITH IS SINGING THE TITLE SONG FOR 'SPECTRE'

The long anticipated announcement of SPECTRE's title singer has now been revealed. 

The announcement was made on the official 007 Twitter page. The title song will be called "Writing's On The Wall".It has been long rumoured that Sam Smith was singing the title song but the 23 year old artist had to keep his involvement secret. 

"It was hard actually. I think it was harder than normal because everyone kind of guessed at the beginning and said it was going to be me and I had to just be really good at lying."

It was assumed that Smith was collaborating on the song with Ellie Goulding, but it seems that is not the case. Following the announcement, Smith was interviewed by Reuter and asked him on the style of the song. 

"I wanted to inject as much me as I could into the song and then dress it in a Bond way if you know what I mean, I sing love songs that what I sing and that's what I wanted to do - I wanted to write a huge love song."

Sam Smith will be the first solo male performer of a Bond theme since 'You Know My Name' was recorded by Chris Cornell in 2006's 'Casino Royale'. 

Bond fans will have to wait until the 25th September to hear the song when it will be available for purchase.
