ROGER DEAKINS IS OUT

Cinematographer Roger Deakins has announced that he will not be returning for Bond 24 which hits cinema's next fall. 

"[Sam Mendes] has got a great idea for another film, which is really an extension [of 'Skyfall'] but from my point, I don't know what else I could do with it, really."

According to TotalFilm, Deakins hasn't stated his exact reasons for not returning, but they feel it may to sheduling issues. The timing of Skyfall prevented Deakins from working on Inside Llewyn Davis with the Coen brothers. It would only be right this time round for MGM to miss out. At dinner with Deakins last night I learned some news that makes me sad: He won't be shooting the next Bond.
