RIVAL BOND-STYLE FILM IN THE WORKS

Will Bond 24 have rival competition from Universal? Back in April, Universal announced production of a film, which plot and characters bare too similar to those in the 007 films. 

Currently known as "Section 6", the film is set to feature a secret agent with a 'double-oh' licence to kill, up against a megalomaniacal villain. 

"This lawsuit concerns a motion picture project, in active development, featuring a daring, tuxedo-clad British secret agent, employed by ‘His Majesty’s Secret Service,’ with a ‘license to kill,’ and a 00 secret agent number on a mission to save England from the diabolical plot of a megalomaniacal villain. Most moviegoers would assume from that description alone that this lawsuit concerns the next James Bond picture. It does not."

The film is set to be based on the formation of the real Secret Service in Britain. MGM and Danjaq haven't been able to do anything until the movie gets the 'green light'. However, Universal have already hired a director and a leading actor - Jack O'Connell. 

It will be interesting to hear the result.
