BOND 24 - LET THE TABLOID RUMOURS COMMENCE...

And so it begins... a couple of days ago, BOND 24 was officially announced on 007.com and already tabloids are beginning to start rumours. We hope to lay a few of them to rest.

A recent report by The Sun claims that the title of the next James Bond movie will be 'Devil May Care'. The name derives from the continuation novel by Sebastian Faulks released in 2008. The novel received mixed to negative reviews and is highly unlikely that the story will be used. The titles used by EON have either come from an Ian Fleming novel or the screenwriters, therefore it is highly unlikely that they would use one this time. The producers would have to pay a hefty amount of royalties to use this title.

Also in the news, claims that the character of Q will have a much larger part in the next instalment. According to the report, the gadget master played by Ben Whishaw will be assisting 007 in the field. It seems like early days yet for a brief story synopsis so surely they can't know yet. Plus, as far as reports go, John Logan hasn't quite finished writing the story yet. However, the way that Q was set up in Skyfall could lead to some humorous scenes that they could play with. Especially since Q is afraid of flying.

It is unclear yet if Naomi Harris or Ben Whishaw are definitely going to feature in the next film. However both them and Ralph Fiennes are under contract with EON until Daniel Craig bows out. Craig still has another two films to go.
