Shooting gets underway in Austria, with Daniel Craig, Monica Bellucci and a crew of 300 people. The new year is upon us, and the team behind the 24th James Bond movie SPECTRE will be spending the next few days shooting key scenes in Altaussee, Solden and Obertilliach in Austria. Daniel Craig and Monica Bellucci arrived this morning with the rest of the crew. Today's filming will be taking place in central Austria at the iconic Lake Altaussee. The crew have been booked into the Seevilla hotel (good luck getting a room there). It is also understood that Christoph Waltz, although he commented that he had no scenes to film there, has travelled with them as an observer. His first scene will be filmed in February.
Aerial shots of the locations were taken by second unit director Alexander Witt during a helicopter flight. The local authorities issued a temporary flight ban to stop paragliders from spoiling the footage. Images and video made available by MI6-HQ.com
