On Wednesday the 007 Days Of Bond Tour moved from Manchester to Penbryn Beach, Wales, which doubled as North Korea in the final scene of DIE ANOTHER DAY. There we were joined by Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (shown in the picture above), who designed costumes for DIE ANOTHER DAY, GOLDENEYE, TOMORROW NEVER DIES, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH and CASINO ROYALE. “It’s a privilege to be part of the 007 Days of Bond tour celebrating the 50th Anniversary,” she said, before presenting a gold disk to Margaret Williams from the Welsh National Trust. From there the QUANTUM OF SOLACE Aston Martin carried the Bond Blu-Ray golden briefcase out of Wales and down to the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough, home to Roger Moore’s famous train rooftop fight scene in OCTOPUSSY. On hand to explain the action was legendary director John Glen, who directed FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, OCTOPUSSY, A VIEW TO A KILL, THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS and LICENCE TO KILL. He was joined by stunt coordinator Paul Weston and the BBC One Show, while fans came to see the Aston Martin after following the day’s events on Twitter.
Today the team are at Stoke Park, where GOLDFINGER’s infamous golf scenes between Bond and Auric Goldfinger were shot. Comments are closed.
