Construction has been coming along quickly on the BOND 24 set in Austria. As reported last month, a crew of about 30 people have been hard at work constructing a temporary building which will be used in the upcoming 24th James Bond adventure.

Will Bond 24 have rival competition from Universal? Back in April, Universal announced production of a film, which plot and characters bare too similar to those in the 007 films.
'Pulp Fiction' and 'Fae/Off' actor, John Travolta expresses his desire to fulfil his life ambition of becoming a Bond villain. He was interviewed by the Telegraph and claimed that he won't “close the chapter on playing villains”, until he is cast as a bad guy in a James Bond film.
“I would love that. They’re going a different way with their villain in this next film but I’ve spoken to Barbara Broccoli about it and she loves the idea, so that would be great.” Ralph Fiennes was interviewed for his latest film "The Invisible Woman" and the inevitable BOND 24 question popped up... "I've not been told anything, I have no information, no dates, no sense of the journey of my character at all!" Fiennes also commented on being typecast as villains... "I don't want to play any more villains, I don't enjoy playing them, I've done it. I enjoy playing complicated people. We talk about good guys and bad guys, but it's reductive. I think I wanted to be an actor because of Shakespeare, and Shakespeare's characters are full of ambivalence and ambiguity," In other news, the absence of a Bond film in 2013 has caused a huge drop in the UK box-office, the biggest drop in 20 years! Click here for more news on Bond 24 Last year, ITV lost the rights to show the James Bond films on Saturday afternoons; a tradition it held for many years and invited a new generation of fans to the fold. Thankfully, ITV have reacquired the rights and 007 will be back on UK television in the new year...
Seven time "M" actress Judi Dench has recently commented about her time as James Bond's boss. She admits she was spoiled by the filmmakers... "You know, I had a wonderful time, but you have to be realistic. Would MI6 really not have given me the push by now, there aren’t [enough roles], considering the amount of people who are my age. But then there never have been. Look at Shakespeare: there aren’t enough women parts in Shakespeare. You feel very, very lucky if you get to play any. You feel very lucky indeed." It has recently been confirmed that the role of "M" will be fulfilled by Ralph Fiennes in the fourth-coming 24th James Bond adventure, scheduled for release in the UK on 23rd October 2015
The blockbuster video game Grand Theft Auto V was released on 17th September and earned Rockstar an unsurprising $1 billion on its first 24 hours of opening. Those who have played the game will notice a few references to James Bond. First of all, a sign post points to "J's Bond". It is currenlty unknown what "J's Bond" is advertising.
Later, in a mission where Franklin must dress in a white tuxedo, the player must steal a JB 700 car, moulded on an Aston Martin DB5, complete with gadgets. A female counterpart screams and jolts the steering as the player is obliged to use the car's kitted out gadgetry which includes tire spikes and an ejector seat. The car is also available to purchase. "Bond 24" news is slow. Sam Mendes is buzzing over his theatre work whilst Daniel Craig is rehersing his role in the Broadway play 'Betrayal'. Bond fans from across the world have taken a poll to determine where they would like to see 007 go in his 24th adventure.
However, only three countries were entered in the poll. These three countries have never been visited by Bond on screen. Almost half the participants chose Australia (48%) with Canada (28%0 coming second and Africa (24%) last. It is possible that the producers would be seeking out India once again, since they narrowly missed out on shooting the pre-title sequence of "Skyfall" there. Production was shifted to Turkey to prevent any delays but the producers expressed their desire to shoot in India in the future. 1983's "Octopussy" took place almost soley in India and whilst negotiations were being made about a possible 5th Brosnan film, India was thrown in the hat again.
