If you've been to Beaulieu before, you would have seen their collection of James Bond memorabilia. A recent news article stated that Beauleu will be purchasing even more of the James Bond vehicles and gadgets for next year, making it the largest James Bond exhibition is the world.
"Exhibition of glamorous - and lethal - genuine James Bond vehicles and props. Get close to the tools of the trade of 007's secret world - genuine artefacts you will remember from many of the films - even Jaw's shirt! Plus a genuine shooting script from the making of 'Thunderball'." Their website states some of the vehicles they already have on display. These include the Lotus Esprit and Jet Ski from The Spy Who Loved Me, Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day, Ford Cougar from On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Ford Mondeo from Casino Royale, AMC Hornet from The Man With The Golden Gun, and the BMW R1200 used in Tomorrow Never Dies. From my last visit in 2005, I remember seeing Jaw's shirt from The Spy Who Loved Me, Moneypenny's dress, the remote control for Bond's BMW is Tomorrow Never Dies and more. We know that Beaulieu are purchasing the 1937 Rolls Royce from Goldfinger, and are probably going to display the car used in the latest film to be released, Bond 23. One of my friends visited the exhibition a few weeks ago and took some amazing photographs. Click the image to open the gallery. For months now we've been kept in suspense. Many rumours have been made about who is going to feature in the 23rd Bond film. Here is what we know so far.
Daniel Craig - James Bond Daniel Craig has a contract with MGM to do more films as James Bond. He has also stated that he will be returning to the role. Judi Dench - M Judi Dench has said that she will be returning (presumably as M) in Bond 23. It is unknown how many more films she plans to do. Naomi Harriss - Miss Moneypenny There has been a lot of to-do about this over the past few weeks. According to the Daily Mail, Naomi Harris (famous for her appearance in Pirates of the Carribean) will be playing Miss Moneypenny. This is, so far, the most reliable source we have found, but it hasn't been confirmed by any of the existing cast or Sam Mendes (director). Ralph Fiennes - Q We are not certain that Ralph Fiennes has been accepted in the film, but rumours have aroused that he is going to portray the character of Q who, like Moneypenny, hasn't featured as all in the Bond films since Die Another Day. We are currently researching this statement further. We believe that Ralph Fiennes has applied for a part in the film, but it is unlikey that he would play such an important character. Javier Bardem - Unknown Javier Bardem is said to have the role of the film's villain. No specific name has been given yet and no further information is available. Simon Russel-Beale Highly unlikely that Simon has been accepted or even applied for the role. It is merely a rumour which we are currently researching. *According to recent sources, Olivia Wilde has not applied or been accepted in the new film. She was screen-tested for the role of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. Following the latest Bond film, Bond 23, a range of books will be released in late 2012.
The Bond Chronicle - A book by Dorling Kindersley about every Bond film including Bond 23. It will be released in November 2012 ready for christmas. Fifty Years of Bond - Posters will be available in shops and online promoting the 007 franchise's 50th Anniversary Bond on Set - The making of Bond 23 XL James Bond - A large 500 page book to be released in 2012. The editor, Paul Duncan has literally thousands of images and more files full of info than MI6 itself. I recently bought a drink down at The Duck Inn, Petts Bottom. Turns out, its the place where Ian Fleming started writing the novel 'You Only Live Twice'. Apparently there was more memorabilia inside but I never got a chance to have a look.
